Professor Romano holds a M.F.A. and a B.F.A. in sculpture and painting with a minor in Art History from Long Island University C.W. Post Campus. Her work has been exhibited locally and nationally and is included in various public (Chicago, Il. “Guardians of the Gate”, Adelphi University, Garden City, NY “Tranquility”) and private collections. She has served as president of the Long Island Craft Guild and on the board of The National Drawing Association. Currently, Professor Romano is a member of The Long Island Craft Guild, the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts, International Sculpture Center and other local and national arts organizations.
